Stepping out into the midnight
\nI feel it will be alright
\nfire in your eyes
\nfire in your words
\nfire on the phone
\nfire in your voice
\nfire in your text
\nfire in your mail<\/p>\n

in the distance the siren wails
\nA wall of sound
\nI fight the urge
\ni am evil
\ni am not evil
\ni am not nice
\ni am nice
\ni am terrible
\ni am not terrible<\/p>\n

no use looking back
\nbut the memories lurk in the shadows
\ndark shapes whispering dark words
\nOh how I\u00a0wish it would rain
\nrain down on me
\nmaybe I\u00a0should give in
\nin to the walking dead
\n“Here, my arm. Take a mouthful”
\nlet us be one<\/p>\n

burn me up with the fever
\nwhen I rise again like the phoenix
\nI shall have conquered my past
\nNo idea of the future
\nhell hath no fury …
\nwhat?
\nA thing; living in the present
\nnever to dream again
\nfree for all eternity
\nbut what is freedom?
\nwhat is the price?
\nwhat is the prize?<\/p>\n

What nonsense!
\nGet over yourself already!<\/p>\n
